Privacy notice
This notice explains how Inspirational Charismatic Church, Luton (“ICC Luton”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your personal information, and the rights you have under UK data protection law.
Last updated: 22 June 2026
Who we are
ICC Luton is the data controller responsible for your personal information. You can reach us at:
81 Arundel Road, Luton LU4 8DY
Email: administration@iccluton.org.uk
Phone: 01582 579 869
What we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us, mainly through the forms on this site (getting in touch, planning a visit, getting connected, or sending a prayer request). Depending on the form, this can include:
- Your name.
- Your email address and, if you provide it, your phone number.
- The content of your message or prayer request, and the topic you select.
A prayer request can, by its nature, reveal personal and sensitive details, including information about your religious beliefs or health. Under UK data protection law this is “special category” data, which we treat with particular care. You are always free to share only what you wish, or to submit a request anonymously.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use your information to respond to you, to pray for the requests you send, to help you take a next step, and to provide pastoral care. We rely on your consent when you submit a form, and on the additional condition in UK data protection law that allows a not-for-profit religious body to process the data of its members and those in regular contact with it. For sensitive details in a prayer request, we rely on your explicit consent given when you submit the request.
Who can see it, and who we share it with
Prayer requests are seen only by the people you choose: either our pastoral team alone, or our wider prayer chain if you opt in. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run this website and deliver your messages to us, and they may process it only on our instructions. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only for as long as we need it to respond to you and provide care, after which it is securely deleted. If you ask us to delete it sooner, we will do so unless we are required to keep it by law.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong, or to delete your information.
- Ask us to restrict or stop using it, or object to how we use it.
- Withdraw your consent at any time, which will not affect anything done beforehand.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at administration@iccluton.org.uk. If you have a concern we cannot resolve, you can contact the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
