Title of Message: Walking in integrity

Ref:  Ref: Psalm 26:1

Date: 12 June 2011

Summary of the Word of God:

  1. God wants us to be transparent; He wants to know who we are.
  2. We should walk in integrity. What then is integrity? It means strength and fairness in character.  Another meaning is to outer sincerity and honesty. It also means the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles.
  3. Integrity is ALWAYS DOING THE RIGHT THING EVEN WHEN YOU KNOW NO ONE ELSE IS LOOKING.
  4. Integrity comes from the word “integrate.” So it’s the ability to integrate the values of our heart into my daily actions.
  5. God places a very high value on integrity and is one of the things that pleases God
(Prov 28:6 ) ” Better is a poor man who walks in his integrity
than a rich man who is crooked in his ways.”
  6. God says integrity is a lot more valuable than all the things I think is valuable.
The bible says in 1 Chr 29:17 that “I know, my God, that you test the heart and have pleasure in uprightness. In the uprightness of my heart I have freely offered all these things, and now I have seen your people, who are present here, offering freely and joyously to you.
  7. Integrity simply means “You can count on me, I’ll keep my word, I’ll be true.”  It means, “I am not for sale at any price.”
  8. God want to deal in people who can say yes or no. Our YES should be YES and our NO should be NO.
  9. This will let people to know who we are. That is the character of a Christian. There should be an identity in our sincerity and honesty.

10.  The bible says in Psalm 26:1 “Judge me oh Lord, for I have walked in my integrity.

11.  Jesus walked in sincerity and honesty and we as Christian should follow suit.

12.  When it comes to building integrity, there are 4 things that we should note

a)     Am I willing to do something or do my actions help others

b)     Am I the same person no matter who I’m with or are you same person to everyone?

c)      Can I be committed to keep the commitment I have made to God.

d)

Amen

Have a Blessed Week

Weekly Message

But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and we certainly can’t carry anything out. But having food and clothing, we will be content with that. But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But you, man of God, flee these things, and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and gentleness (1 Tim 6:6-11). Have a blessed week

Title of Message: Go but Go with attitude of favour

Ref: Ruth chp. 1 and 2, Exodus 3:12

Summary of the Word of God:

  1. Everywhere you go, go with the mind of the favour of God. In everything you do, be it business, admitted in the hospital, in school etc., go with the favour of God.
  1. Favour is something done or granted out of good will rather than justice. Another meaning is promoted over another. Considered as favourable is also another meaning given to the word favour. It also means to regard with especial kindness or approval or a condition of being regarded with approval or good will.
  2. Favour is the special affection of God toward you that releases an influence on you, so that others are inclined to like you, or to cooperate with you.
  1. When He likes you, there is such an influence that comes upon you that the charisma of God himself rubs off on you which makes other people like you or cooperate with you whether they like you or not!
  1. So we are God’s favourite the bible says God will treat you gently. Exodus 3:12 the bible says that God will give His people favour. God says, He will give us favour in front of our enemies.
  2. When you get up in the morning pray for favour before setting out. Be prepared to go with favour in everything you do.
  3. It does not matter what you have lost, with favour you will get everything back.
  4. Brothers and sisters go ahead and do what God wants you to do and one day your favour will come; your promotion, your breakthrough, your success, your miracle.
  5.  Read the story of Ruth and you will understand the favour of God. She was so loyal to Naomi that in the end the favour of God came upon her. Her story shows a perfect example of loyalty, friendship and commitment to God and to others.
  6. The story of Ruth is an example of God’s grace and favour in the midst of difficult circumstances.
  7. Bible examples of God’s favour. Joseph, Ruth, Hannah, Nehemiah, Esther and King David are few examples of those who found favour with God.

                                                                                            Amen.

Sunday 28th May 2011

Sermon: Pastor George Adu-Gyamfi

Title: Using what you have now to get what you want:

Reference:Zecharia 4:9-10, Job 8:5-7

Summary

  1. Be content with the little you have. Build on it and it shall mature into greater things.
  2. Be content with the little that God has blessed and given you.
  3. Value it big, polish the little God has given you and as you value and polish it, it will mature into greater things.
  4. The inability to identify what God has given us leads us to distress and stress.
  5. There is always something in our hands. God said in his word that we all have gifts
  6. Zechariah 4:9-10, the Bible says that we shouldn’t despise the day of small things. The small things of the Lord taken care of, leads to greater things.
  7. The bible continues in Job 8:5-7 that we will prosper in our gifted dwelling place. It further says that the small beginning will later increase abundantly. (Job 5:7 “And though your beginning was small, your latter days will be very great”.)
  8. In the parable of the talents Jesus, commended the two servants who invested their money and upbraided the one who failed invest his but rather dug in the ground and hid his master’s money (Mt 25:14-30).
  9. In fact, the period you must wait for any significant benefit can seem never-ending. Yet with time the incremental gains grow larger and larger, and the eventual profit is huge.
  10. Clearly, too, he intended the parable of the talents to be an analogy to other areas of life where we take risks for his sake. It conveys an unmistakable lesson–that we shouldn’t neglect the benefit of a small beginning in any venture of faith.
  11. The first step towards getting somewhere is believe and have faith in God and to decide that you are not going to stay where you are, no matter how long you have to wait upon the Lord.
  12. Finally, my brothers and sisters, remember that a small beginning is sometimes the very step needed to open yourself to the provision of God. Pray earnestly and look honestly at what you actually can do to start moving toward your goal. Don’t look with contempt on the small beginning. Just look at the small talent or gift the Lord has already given you and you will surely, surely, reap. God has promised and He never fails in HIS WORD.

Sermon by Pastor George Adu-Gyamfi

Title of Message: There is a price

Ref:  Matt 20: 20-28, 1st Cori 6:9-10 1st Peter 2:19-25

  1. At these end times we can’t afford to live our lives anyhow.  Whatever you set your mind to do, you can do it, whether good or bad. But everything that one wants to achieve, there is a price to pay. The choice is clearly outlined for a price to be paid whether good or bad.
  2. In Matt 20:28 Jesus said that, even the son of man did not come to be served but to serve.
  3. In Matt 20:20-23 a woman came to Jesus for him to grant her sons a place in His Kingdom. But Jesus made her know that if her sons were prepared to pay the price of that. Suffering comes before glory. Most of us envisage glory without suffering. But Jesus made us understand that suffering comes before Glory. There is a price to pay to enter the kingdom of GOD.
  4. 4.       Referring to 1st Cori 6:9-10, the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God. “Or know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not be deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with men (homosexuality), nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye were washed, but ye were sanctified, but ye were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the Spirit of our God.”
  5. All things are permissible for the Lord but not everything is beneficial. All are permissible to God but not all things are profitable.
  6. We must make the right choice beneficial and good in the eyes of the Lord. This means that even in making our choices we have limitations in choosing the good ones.
  7. What things are struggling with? How have control over these things you are struggling with. So stop giving excuses for your predicaments.
  8. Know that your body is the temple of the Lord. You are not an ordinary person. You were bought at a special price and God is therefore so interested about you.
  9. A young man or woman can keep himself pure by purifying himself with the word of God. For the bible says, you must hide his word in your heart so that you will not sin.
  10. The Bible says, we are not of ourselves, for our bodies are members of Christ and should not be unified with accursed things.
  11. Listen, my brothers and sisters to the word of God attentively, seek guidance and change your life.
  12. Don’t let the pressure of this generation have an impact on your life and destroy all what He has in store for you.
  13. Remember that Christ suffered but during his suffering he did not sin, because of that he has set these down for us to follow.
  14. 14.   Finally, according to 1st Peter 2:20, when you do what is right and suffer for it you patiently endure it, this finds favour with God or commendable before God.  And therefore there is reward from God. Verse 21 continues that For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps”.

Amen

Title of Message: Wait before God patiently

Ref:  Psalm 37:3-8 James 1:3-4 Galatians 6:9-10 Hebrews 10:36

Date: 22nd May 2011

Summary of the Word of God:

  1. Patience is the state of endurance under difficult circumstances, which can mean persevering in the face of delay. According to the dictionary it is the quality of being patient, as the bearing of provocation, annoyance, misfortune, or pain, without complaint, loss of temper, irritation, or the like.
  2. Do not lose heart for it doesn’t matter your background for God has a plan for you.
  3. The bible says in Psalm 37:7 that “Be still and rest on the Lord wait for him and patiently lean yourself upon on Him
  4.  Never think that someone is doing better than you and become easily frustrated, for the bible says that those who wait and hope for the Lord. The misfortunes, the pains and other challenges are just for the short term
  5. God has so many things in store for you, so do not think it is over. Never rush but wait diligently for Him. For Galatians 6:9 says that “And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”
  6.  Due season means it is not our season but God’s season. According to James 1:3-4 we should let perseverance or patience finish its work so that we may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. Compare your endurance to the farmer. As he ploughs, sows, and variously labours in his fields, it is supported by the hope of a plentiful harvest, which he cannot expect before the right and appointed time.
  7. Hebrews 10:36 also says, we need to develop endurance so that when we have done the will of God we will receive the promise.
  8. You can make it and make it big for the Lord is with you and He is about to make you big as you diligently wait.
  9. God has every opportunity to prepare you and so do not get ahead of yourself or ahead of God. The bible says we are serving a great God. His eyes go everywhere and in every corner and will never depart you. As you go through those pains, he is watching and preparing something special for you.

AMEN

Title of Message

The Coming of our Lord Jesus

Who are you, when no one is looking?

Ref:

Romans 1:21-32

2 Timothy 3:1-10

 1 Peter 2:11

Luke 17:26

Summary of the Word of God:

  1. What is your character when you know no one is looking? But remember, that if no one is looking, God is looking far away.
  2. Check the things you pay attention to and love.
  3. Let’s have boundaries. A lot of Christians do not have boundaries” everything goes” attitude. Separate Godly from the ungodly things. Portray and follow the good side, which leads to eternal life and unification with our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ.
  4. Jesus said we will he come again so we should be prepared
  5. God is coming soon for his people.
  6. All that we are craving for and piling and piling, we will leave them one day.
  7. We are strangers, foreigners here and one day we will leave this earth.
  8. The rich man died before he could enjoy his riches.
  9. Jesus said he is coming soon and His reward is in His hands. He will reward each according to his/her deeds. Luke 18:8, “I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?”
  10. Luke 17:26 to 30: ‘As it was in the days of Noah, so it will also be in the day of the Son of Man. People ate, they drank, they married, they were given in marriage, until the day when Noah went into the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. As it was in the days of Lot. People ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but on the very day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. That is the way it will be on the day that the Son of Man is revealed’.
  11. My brothers and sisters, the story of Noah is not only a warning for this age, it is proof, that if mankind is left to itself and tries to live without God, we devolve into beings of lust, violence, self-will, impiousness and finally end up in the lake of fire.
  12. The Lord Jesus indicates that the world which exists before His return will be given over to pleasure-seeking, immorality, perversion, idleness, and a rejection of the things of God. All godly standards that made many nations great will be forgotten in favour of licentiousness, “The wicked shall be turned into hell and all the nations that forget God” (Psalm 9:17).
  13. We must not boast of the things we have. We shouldn’t be attached to the world.
  14. We must all praise God for the Second Adam, Who has restored mankind to the glory of God; who has restored the spiritually dead back to life. ‘Thus it is written, the first man Adam, became a living soul; the last Adam (Jesus) became a life-giving Spirit’ (1 Corinthians 15:45). Thank God we know Him, for without Him we too would perish.

Amen.

Message of the week

As we celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord this holy week, perhaps the time has come again for us to reflect on some of the promises He gave to us. Jesus said in John 14:1-3 Do not let your heart be troubled, believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you, I am going to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also. As we bear these words in mind we will not becoming too attached to this world, also we come to the full understanding that, this world is fading away, along with everything it craves. But if you do the will of God, you will live forever (1 John2:17).

Have a blessed week

Weekley Sermon Summary

Teaching & Preaching of the WORD -17th April 2011

Speaker: Pastor George Adu-Gyamfi

Title of Message: Knowing the word of God

Ref: John 8:28-32

Psalm 119:9-16

Psalm 119:105

John 15:1-10

Summary of the Word of God:

  1. Any assignment can never be completed unless you follow certain rules or instructions. God is a God of order. He sets things in place for a reason and even He follows His own rules.
  2. If you allow the word of God to penetrate your life you will be transformed.
  3. If you aren’t transformed as you accept Jesus as your personal saviour then you haven’t allowed yourself to be transformed by His word.
  4. The bible says as we walk day by day with Him, we become like Him.
  5. You therefore need to change the way you think and think in the way God thinks. You need to renew your mind in much the same way as a caterpillar metamorphoses into a butterfly.
  6. You can remain as a caterpillar or be transformed into a butterfly. If the caterpillar continued to do things the same way as usual, it would die as a caterpillar, but at some point, if it makes a choice to spin a cocoon around itself and allow its body to go through a transformation and at the end it emerges as a beautiful butterfly. If the caterpillar continued to do things the same way as usual, it would die as a caterpillar, but at some point, it makes a choice to spin a cocoon around itself and allow its body to go through a transformation and at the end it emerges as a beautiful butterfly. Let us therefore be changed by the word of God.
  7. Blow your walls apart in much the same way as the butterfly burst its cocoon and shows its beauty.
  8. The way you think sum up the way you are, so the choice is yours. For God has given us the free will.
  9. In John 8:28-38, Jesus said he has allowed His father to teach Him. And the father has never left Him alone. Jesus never left the father, so should you also do the same. God says, if you are mine and the words abide in you, anything you ask I will give thee.
  10. Note that coming to church alone is not enough but following the word and the will of God is the important thing. For God says in John 8:31 that, if you continue in His word, you can become His disciple indeed.
  11. According to Hebrews 4:12, the word of God is living and powerful and sharp. It is also a discerner of thoughts and intents of our heart. So make your mind now to follow God. The word of God is TRUE, follow it and your LIFE will never be the same.

GO HOME AND SERVE THE LORD. Amen

Message of the week

Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever, Amen. Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you.

But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed (1Pet 4:10-13). Remember your unique gift from God can only be administer by you, nobody else can be you, so make yourself available, useable- suitable for God’s use today, and serve Him by serving others. Scripture says in Acts 13:36 for David served the purpose of God in his own generation, yours is waiting. Have a blessed week
